Indulge the senses: our way of understanding tourism in Asturias

Ana and Carlos from Las Mimosas del Nalón

There are accommodations where you simply sleep.
And there are places that remain in the memory long after you return home.

In a time when we travel more than ever, we believe that what is truly important is no longer just the destination, but how it makes us feel.

That's why, in The Mimosas del Nalón, our philosophy revolves around a simple yet profound idea: Feed the senses.

Much more than just staying in Asturias

We are in the heart of Bajo Nalón, surrounded by nature, sea, gastronomy and tranquillity. But our purpose goes beyond offering a pleasant stay.

We want each person who visits us to be able to reconnect with themselves through the little details:

  • the sound of the sea,
  • the smell of rain in Asturias,
  • A leisurely breakfast,
  • the light coming in through the window,
  • A close conversation,
  • Oh, the feeling of slowing down for a few days.

Because we believe that travelling can also be a way of feeling again.

Authentic, human, and conscious tourism

Increasingly, travellers are seeking authentic experiences. Places with soul. People behind every project. Corners that don't seem the same as any other destination.

That is precisely our way of understanding tourism.

We are committed to a more relaxed, more human tourism that is connected to the local area. We like to recommend small local producers, lesser-known routes, quiet beaches, and experiences that allow you to discover Asturias from the inside out.

We believe that true luxury today lies in authenticity:
when having time,
taking slow breaths,
to hear the environment,
and in living experiences that feed the senses.

Experiences that connect with the authentic

This week we also had the opportunity to participate in the professional conference “Experiences that connect with the authentic”, organised in el Bajo Nalón alongside other local tourism projects.

A very inspiring meeting where we shared ideas, values, and new ways to create collaborations between accommodation, gastronomy, nature, well-being, and local culture.

Because we are convinced that the future of tourism in Asturias lies in building more emotional, sustainable, and memorable experiences.

Asturias isn't just visited. It's felt.

And perhaps that's the essence of it all.

May whoever comes here not only remember a beautiful landscape, but also how they felt during those days.

More relaxed.
More connected.
More present.

That is, for us, feeding the senses.
