Indulge the senses: our way of understanding tourism in Asturias

Ana and Carlos from Las Mimosas del Nalón

There are places where you simply sleep. And there are places that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. At a time when we’re travelling more than ever, we believe that what truly matters is no longer just the destination, but how it makes us feel. That’s why, at Las Mimosas del Nalón, our philosophy revolves around a simple yet profound idea: Nourish the senses. Much more than just a stay in Asturias We are in the heart of the Lower Nalón, surrounded by nature, the sea, fine food and tranquillity. But our aim goes beyond simply offering a lovely stay. We want every guest to reconnect with themselves through the little details: because we believe that travelling can also be a way to rediscover your feelings. Authentic, human and mindful tourism More and more travellers are seeking genuine experiences. Places with soul. People behind every project. Corners that don’t look like any other destination. That is precisely how we understand tourism. We are committed to a more unhurried, more human form of tourism that is connected to the local area. We like to recommend small local producers, lesser-known routes, quiet beaches and experiences that allow you to discover Asturias from the inside. We believe that true luxury today lies in authenticity: in having time, in breathing slowly, in listening to the surroundings, and in living experiences that nourish the senses. Experiences that connect with the authentic This week we also had the opportunity to take part in the professional conference “Experiences that connect with the authentic”, organised in the Lower Nalón region alongside other tourism projects in the area. A truly inspiring gathering where we shared ideas, values and new ways of fostering collaborations between accommodation, gastronomy, nature, wellbeing and local culture. Because we are convinced that the future of tourism in Asturias lies in creating more emotional, sustainable and memorable experiences. Asturias isn’t just a place to visit. It is felt. And perhaps that is the essence of it all. That whoever comes here remembers not only a beautiful landscape, but also how they felt during those days. More at peace. More connected. More present. That, for us, is what it means to nourish the senses.
