Concha de Artedo, Senda de los Miradores and San Esteban de Pravia: the coast near home

Sometimes you don't need to go far to have a perfect day in Asturias.

Very close to The Mimosas del Nalón There are landscapes that summarise everything we love about this land: cliff-top paths, hidden beaches, damp-smelling forests and harbours where the river meets the sea.

Today we propose a close, comfortable and beautiful day out: Concha de Artedo, Senda de los Miradores and San Esteban de Pravia.

A day for walking, breathing, and enjoying without rush.

Daily plan

In the morning Artedo Cove Beach
Midday Quiet meal at Casa Miguel, right on the beach
In the afternoon San Esteban de Pravia and the Path of the Viewpoints.
End of the day: Rest at Las Mimosas.

Playa de la Concha de Artedo: The reward after the forest

The Shell of Artedo It's a beach that you can taste from the road.

Before reaching the sea, the forest appears. A pleasant walk, green, fresh, full of soft sounds. Little by little the Cantabrian Sea can be heard. And at the end, the beach opens up like a large shell between mountains.

It is a perfect place for those who enjoy the destination as much as the journey.

La Concha de Artedo enchants the senses with the scent of trees, the sound of the sea, and that mixture of sand, rock, and horizon that so defines Asturias.

Things to do in Concha de Artedo

Stroll to the beach, walk along the shore, take photos, sit and listen to the sea, and enjoy a quiet meal in the local area.

Here on the beach, you have one of our favourite restaurants: Miguel House, With views of the beach, you can enjoy a good rice dish or fish (there's a variety on their menu).

Important: book an appointment if possible the day before (or well in advance)

San Esteban de Pravia: where the Nalón says goodbye

San Esteban de Pravia has a special beauty.

It's a port, it's history, it's an estuary, it's industrial memory, and it's the nearby sea. Here the Nalón River approaches the Cantabrian Sea, and the landscape blends old cranes, water, boats, and green mountains.

It's a perfect place for a leisurely stroll, grabbing a drink, and starting one of the most beautiful routes in the area.

Path of the Viewpoints: Walking over the Cantabrian Sea

The Path of the Viewpoints It's one of those routes that explain why Asturias is felt.

The path offers sea views, cliffs, benches to stop at, the smell of eucalyptus, the sound of birds, and small beaches that appear between the vegetation.

It's not necessary to do the whole thing if you don't feel like it. The important thing is to walk a stretch, stop, look, and enjoy.

It's an ideal route to feast your eyes, ears, and that very human need to switch off.

This is one of our favourite plans because it shows that Asturias starts very close to home.

From The Mimosas del Nalón, Beauty is just steps away, minutes away, a glance away.

Feed your senses. Walk nearby. Rest better.
