We are Ana and Carlos
We are delighted to open the doors of what is now not only our home in Asturias, but also yours.
Here, in front of the Nalón river, we have found a a place where life breathes at a different pace... and we want to share it with those who come looking for a real break.
I am Carlos
I am Carlos. I was born in Madrid, although my inner compass has always pointed towards nature. After studying Business Studies, the world of travel became my day-to-day life: for years I organised ski trips for families, big corporate events and very special weddings that brought together hundreds of people.
But, among so many journeys, there was one common thread that never changed: the desire to create unforgettable experiences.
In 2015 I decided to leave behind the big events to focus on something closer and more human: family trips and surf camps. This new direction, together with the management of a mountain refuge in the Sierra de Guadarrama, deeply marked my way of understanding hospitality.
In that shelter, every night was full of stories:
stories of overcoming, of friendship, of fatigue, of shared dreams.
The surrounding National Park taught me something essential:
genuine hospitality comes from listening, observing and accompanying.
In 2022, my path finally brought me to Asturias.
The estate that today is Las Mimosas del Nalón began as a space for camping... but it soon became much more:
A landscape that embraced me from the first day, a vital rhythm that recharges me and a land that welcomes you with the humility and strength of the true.
And, almost without expecting it, here I also found Ana.
Ana's quiet magic
It is difficult to describe Ana without understatement.
It has that serene presence that transforms spaces and makes everything seem more beautiful and simpler.
Years ago, Ana was already working at this estate, Los Novales, learning day by day what it means to be a hostess. Her special sensitivity and the aesthetic taste she imprints on every detail are today an essential part of what Las Mimosas del Nalón offers to those who come.
When our paths crossed, everything began to fall into place with surprising naturalness.
What was originally a farm for outdoor activities was transformed, thanks to our joint vision, into a space where people could unwind with purpose and reconnect with themselves.
Our meeting, our project, our home
In 2023 we officially began to manage Las Mimosas del Nalón and, since then, this place has grown with us: new ideas, new corners, new ways of accompanying those who arrive.
In the summer months, camps and families live together, creating a lively atmosphere that makes this little family grow even more.
And of course, we are not alone
We are joined by Mika
Our 13-year-old furry companion, whose favourite activity is lying in the sun and supervising - from a distance - that all is calm, as it should be.
And also Noah
The new one in the family! A curious and explorer puppy that, we are sure, as soon as you get to know her, she will discover all our nooks and crannies.
Together with them, and with all the friends and collaborators who accompany us, we make it possible for Las Mimosas del Nalón to be what you are experiencing today.

On the outskirts of Las Arenas de San Juan there is a tourist complex called LAS MIMOSAS, with flats for different groups of people and a hostel.
I stayed in the flat nº5 for two people. It is very complete, comfortable and well kept, with wooden ceilings, staircase, windows and upper floor and lower floor tiles, very cosy.
If you want to visit Asturias having a nice place, clean, with all the facilities, near the sea, near the best dog beach in Spain and always with recommendations of places to visit or eat, this is a good place to go. Carlos and Ana will welcome you in their home even if you go with dog. 100% recommended. We will come back to visit them for sure.
